Love goes through the stomach, they say, so what’s better than looking for the perfect recipe to melt your half-orange’s heart?
Especially with Valentine’s day approaching, we all love a DIY gift from the heart, so here’s a little idea that will satisfy your taste buds and your health; home-made chocolate hearts filled with your favorite fruit and a scoop of protein-rich grass-fed collagen peptides. Don’t let V-day make you forget about your healthy habits!
This is a super easy recipe that will delight both you and your loved one with an indulgent but health-conscious treat - it’s perfect for any of you following a paleo or gluten-free diet, and requires minimal effort. Moreover, not only is dark chocolate a classic aphrodisiac that can boost your mood, it is also rich in antioxidants and high in caffeine, two ingredients known to increase blood flow, which is great for your libido as well!
If you want to benefit from the romantic side of chocolate, opt for the darkest chocolate (75% cocoa or more) with lower sugar content.
Before we start with this healthy chocolate recipe, you might want to know why we recommend adding a scoop of premium collagen to it. Note, Amandean’s Grass-Fed Collagen Peptides are unflavored and easy-to-mix so you won’t even know they’re there.
Collagen is responsible for cells renewal in the entire body: we’re talking about hair, skin, nails, eyes, teeth, cartilage, bones, tendons, internal organs, arteries, blood vessels, and -last but not least - the immune system. As we age, our body can’t produce the same quantity of collagen and we start to lose approx. 1.5% of our natural collagen stores each year. For this reason, a high bioavailability collagen is useful.
Most importantly, collagen accounts for 80% of all connective tissue and 75% of the skin. This means that, by complementing your diet with an all-natural collagen supplement, you’re helping your body maintain a hydrated and firm skin as you age. Collagen peptides supplement can also help to support a healthier sex life , for males especially when it comes to erectile dysfunction (ED), and for women that start to feel pain during sex due to a lack of firmness in the vaginal walls.
Convinced yet? Let’s make some chocolate.
